In the summer of 2022, I worked remotely as a UX/UI Designer at DeFiner Labs and designed the new interfaces for HODLer Market on the DeFiner website app.
As a UX/UI design intern, I closely collaborated with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to create understandable, workable, and developable website designs.

The biggest challenge I faced was collaborating and communicating with colleagues in a remote work setting. As my first remote full-time job, I worked remotely on an online platform gather.town and worked with people from all over the world.
To drive the project forward, I took the initiative to provide frequent progress reports and updates to both my supervising managers and designers, while also actively seeking their input on how to improve and meet design requirements. In addition, I sent timed messages to remind absent colleagues to get back on board and quickly integrate them into our progress.

Another challenge in the intern was that when I started my internship project, I wasn't able to start with user research like previous school projects and was directly involved in the design. However, as an UX design intern with mindset for users, I knew I should speak for users as much as I can. So I took some actions to conduct research which can help me understand users better.
Not only did I actively interview with the team members to get their opinions and ideas about the product; but I also tried out some of HODLer's competing products and compared my experiences to what HODLer offers, which allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the user experience.
In the end, I designed the interfaces and 3 flows for the HODLer market that reduced user error rate and improve on satisfaction.
